Roy Bontrager - Woodworker
Custom Furniture and Woodcraft, LLC
Roy Bontrager has lived in the Hocking Hills area for more than 46 years. He was a medical professional in the area, but has turned to woodworking, woodturning, and woodcrafts as his second and best loved avocation.
All of his work is custom-made, and he is now receiving more requests to do wood-turned and handcrafted pieces using multiple combinations of woods. He especially enjoys making heirloom and personal items. Currently his greatest requests are for Christmas ornaments, personal items and Cross-like pens.
Roy works with over 20 native Ohio woods and more than 25 exotic or imported woods from South America, Israel, India, Australia and Africa. All of his work can have names personally engraved and, in some cases, additional art work.
